Back on August 6th, 2008, Yelizaveta Buraya (Lisa) killed her boyfriend of three years, Tomas Matczak. He was stabbed through the heart with a knife.
This should never had happened. Had the Restraining Order that Tomas filed for on July 6th, been served, this may have never happened. Restraining orders are often handed out like candy and pursued aggressively by police and the courts, …. if you are a man. This man was arrested for violating a restraining order, even though he had not been served.
By all accounts, Tomas was a gentle soul. He was described as a mellow soul who carried the brunt of this relationship. He worked, provided for his girlfriend and daughter, and even did the cooking, dishes and housework, drove her around as she had no driver’s license, while she was free to spend his money and party. She was described as the controlling one in this relationship. They had a daughter she used as a pawn against him. She had often threatened Tomas with court action as she had successfully filed for restraining orders against him in the past. She would then go to his house and threatened to accuse him of breaking the no-contact order. In any other arena, this would be called stalking.
She manipluated him like a puppet, pulling these strings continuously and would threaten to take his daughter should he dare step out of line. All of this is very real and possible in Washington State where gender-biased laws enable bad women like Lisa to make Domestic Violence anything they wished it to be. She could play the innocent angel to a tee and had many of their friends fooled as to her behavior, until 2008.
She was so confident of her control that she had stabbed him three times previously, according to family members, once in the thigh, once in the foot and another time he grabbed the blade from her as he knew what she was capable of. He had dared not called the police as he was that controlled and scared of this woman. Finally, in July, he filed for a restraining order as he had had enough of her act. This protection order was never served. Why this never happened is anyones guess.
Enraged this woman added fuel to this fire and many fights ensued. She ramped up her threats and tried to take his daughter the night he was stabbed. Even though she reportedly had no driver’s license, she had taken Tomasz’s keys to his car and was trying to leave. For trying to prevent this, Tomasz was stabbed once through the heart. Once stabbed, panic ensued. He was bleeding to death. She made no effort to help him down three flights of stairs to his car. Once in his car, she drove around until he bled to death. His daughter got to witness all of this as she was also in that car that night. She coldly dropped him off at the hospital and left. He was dead on arrival. She went back to her apartment where she was arrested shortly afterwards and claimed self defense. Two days later she walked and has been free ever since.
The Matczak family has been continuously frustrated by King County prosecutor, Dan Satterberg’s office and Cheryl Snow in particular who apparently at the least has been very rude, and at the worst, believes it is OK for a woman to kill her boyfriend for preventing her from taking his car and child, who had apparently been beaten by Lisa’s father earlier that day.
Had this been a man, the arrest and subsequent persecution by King County, who believes that only men have the ability to be violent, would already have been history. A vigil might have been staged by the Attorney General’s office, which is furthering Domestic Violence penalties for men, only to continuously ignore instances like this. ALL are aware of what happened here. It’s been six months since his death and Cheryl Snow wishes this to go away, choosing instead to blame the victim, Tomasz, for his history of breaking no-contact orders where he, himself had been setup by Lisa.
Lisa instead, continues to flaunt her badness by posting a MySpace page that mocks his death.
I tried to contact Lisa for an interview after viewing this. She never responded, and immediately removed her MySpace page. Later, her friend posted this disturbing image instead.

The continuing precedent in King and Thurston Counties in particular and in Washington State as a whole has gotten out of control when it comes to Domestic Violence. The message being sent here is clear. Men beware. The attorney general Rob McKenna continues to push for more and more legislation while ignoring instances like this. He knows what happened here, but is of little use to the Matczak family who continue to grieve over the loss within their family. Today, legislation is for up animals of domestic violence perpetrators. It makes one wonder when this madness will ever end. For they apparently continue to believe the lies of the Domestic Violence industry and ignore clinical studies like this, allowing stories like this to happen instead.

This is outrage, how did they let her go she killed him.
I guess this is a great message from the Prosecutor’s Office in Seattle to all the abusive ladies out there “Free to Kill” just claim it was self defense. Don’t forget to take him to the emergency so they will think you were trying to help him.

I believe inna just like lisa could get away with it…so why dont you go try…cheryl snow and dan satterbergh wont charge you…just go ahead and kill some men but make sure you say that they werent even hurting they just grabbed you to get their keys and you are allowed to use lethal weapon when that happens….I WILL GET JUSTICE FROM THIS CASE..this is not right at all and makes no sense

This is absolutely insane. No charges pressed by the King County Prosecutor’s Office? Nothing? A claimed lack of evidence? Are you fucking serious?
I work in the legal system. Women like this make a mockery out of an already screwed up legal system. This is further proof that the whole system is insanely biased against men. Is there any doubt in ANYONE’S MIND that if this woman was a man that: #1 – Charges would have been filed #2 – She would have been convicted and #3 – The press would have been all over it.

This is so typical. We may as well have separate judicial system for women. Hey, I have an idea. Let’s just try women in juvenile court. That would make sense, because feminists always like to say this or that is needed for the “women and the children.”

Welcome, Iguana. I know who you are. This woman’s story may be found here. She was treated as the “victim”
